Business students host 'Employer Dinner' at City College

10 June 2011

Over twenty local employers recently attended a dinner hosted by Level 3 Business students from City College Brighton and Hove. The students organised the evening as part of their course's 'Managing an Event' module and arranged everything from designing the invitations, preparing the seating plan and choosing the menu to 'meeting and greeting' guests on the evening.

Local businesses in attendance included Southern Water, American Express, and Mayo Wynne Baxter. Evelyn Holmes, City College's Team Leader for Business Studies, said: 'I think this event was a great success, not just in terms of giving the students hands-on experience of managing an event but also in terms of re-affirming links with local employers which is fundamental to the College's future.'
