City College Electrical Installation student Martyn Colley has recently been named Southern Water Apprentice of the Year at an awards ceremony at HMS Salten in Portsmouth.
Martyn was presented with the award by Southern Water's Managing Director Stuart Derwent. Mr Derwent said:
"We started our apprenticeship programme in 1993 and it has proved to be a great success. In this industry it is important we have people who join us and grow through the business."

Mark Thompson, who heads the apprenticeship programme at Southern Water, said:
"It's excellent news that Martyn has won the Apprentice of the Year Award. These awards help recognise the effort put in by the apprentices themselves, our training partners CT Plus and local colleges."
