City College Brighton and Hove is seeking ex-students who have gone on to find success in their chosen fields in order to compile a short-list for a City College Gold Award for those who have become outstanding role models for vocational education.
The award will be made during the College's Achiever of the Year awards in October and the winner will be asked to mentor a current student in the relevant vocational area. The award will also be open to those who studied at the College when it was known as Brighton College of Technology or Brighton Technical College. Principal Phil Frier says:

Phil Frier
'The College already has good links with successful former students such as Deborah Meaden of Dragon's Den fame and this has been acknowledged nationally but we're aware that there are thousands of our ex-students in the local area who have gone on to thrive in their careers after their studies here. As well as building links with these alumni, I think it's also important to celebrate vocational education and that's what the City College Gold Award will be all about.'
Are you an ex-City College student who would like to be considered for a Gold Award or is there a candidate you would like to nominate? If so, please contact Brian Bell, Marketing Communications Officer, on 01273 667788 Ext. 488 or email bb1@ccb.ac.uk website www.ccb.ac.uk
