City College foursome selected for South of England trials

31 March 2011

Further to City College Brighton and Hove's rugby team's appearance in the South East Colleges' regional finals, four of the College's most talented players - Gareth Dean, Lewis Cambridge, Barney Reed and Jim Wright - have been selected for the South of England Colleges' trials in April.

The news coincides with the announcement that the College has formed a partnership with Sussex Merlins, the county's only Rugby League team, to develop a centre of excellence for Rugby League in Brighton. 'The lads' selection for these trials says a lot about the excellent progress the College's rugby squad has made this year', said City College's Rugby Co-ordinator, Fin Macmillan.
