City College Brighton and Hove has announced details of a new course on offer for budding local musicians. On the BTEC 1st Diploma in Music, students develop their musical skills, perform live gigs and create and commercially release their own original music using state-of-the-art production facilities and rehearsal space. The course starts in September and is enrolling now.
Course leader Jason Murphy says:

Music at City College
'The course is designed to give students the hands-on practical experience they'll need to develop as a confident performer and recording engineer. Students really enjoy the friendly, buzzy atmosphere here in City College's music department and we've got excellent industry links, with guest speakers regularly coming to the College to offer advice and insights. Brighton has a thriving music scene and this course is ideal for aspiring musicians, helping them to develop their skills, refine their talents and ultimately take a more professional approach to their career. '
Entry Requirements for 3 GCSEs at grade D (preferably including Maths and English) or relevant experience.
