City College offers options for A level students

19 August 2009

Students who are receiving their A Level results this week are being encouraged to explore the options available to them at their local Further Education College, City College Brighton and Hove. City College has many years experience of delivering Higher Education (HE) and has consistently attracted positive feedback from external examiners. The College provides HE programmes that blend academic and work-related learning and aim to equip students with the knowledge and skills to pursue their career and/or further study. The College also offers vocational qualifications which offer an ideal progression route and learning experience that is valued by employers and can allow students to gain the UCAS points required for a university application.
Phil Frier, Principal of City College Brighton and Hove, says:

'At this time of year, when students have just received their results and are considering their next move, it's important for them to know the full range of educational opportunities open to them, beyond just focussing on the university route. Here at City College, students can gain a qualification in the kind of setting that will allow them to gain the practical experience that employers really value. We've also got excellent links with local businesses in areas such as construction, sports, arts, theatre, business, catering and many other industries.'
