City College puts the shout out for old bangers!

Motor Vehicle students at City College Brighton and Hove are putting the shout out locally for 'old bangers' that they can practice their skills on. These cars will not be put on the road, will be used for teaching purposes only and will remain within the Motor Vehicle department. Smaller cars are preferred as they offer more manoeuvrability and the College is particularly keen to secure Ford Escorts or Fiestas, Peugeot 306 and 106, Volkswagen Golf Polo, Vauxhall Corsa and Fiat Puntos. However, any vehicle that can be used for teaching purposes will be considered.

'We've got a really keen new intake of students who I think have the makings of being exactly the type of skilled mechanics that are always in demand. Now we're just hoping that the community can help them out by donating old cars that might otherwise end up on a scrap-heap.'
