Danny Bell, who graduated from City College Brighton and Hove this summer, has won the NCTJ (National Council for the Training of Journalists) Public Affairs Award for 2010-11. Danny received a certificate and a cheque for £250 sponsored by Oxford University Press, in recognition of his exceptional performance in the Essential Public Affairs exam.
Speaking about his win, Danny said: 'I am delighted to have won this year's prize. The Public Affairs module was challenging and gave everyone in my class a thorough grounding in current affairs as well as local and central government. Karen Dugdale, our teacher, was first class.'
