Jamie-Lee Bailey (19), a Business Studies student at City College Brighton and Hove, has met the Prime Minister Gordon Brown at a reception at 10 Downing Street. The reception was organised to give the Prime Minister the opportunity to meet with a cross-section of 16-24 year-olds such as apprentices, students and young people involved in sporting activities or voluntary work. Jamie-Lee has impressed her tutors recently with the entrepreneurial flair she's shown in setting up a seasonal attire company 'Jaav Four Seasons' as part of the College's City Entrepreneur project in which students run their own businesses with mentoring from local employers. Jamie was brought to 10 Downing Street as the guest of her constituency MP, Des Turner.
Jamie-Lee says:

Jamie-Lee with Des Turner MP and the Prime Minister
'When I met the Prime Minister, I chatted to him about how well things were going with the City Entrepreneur project. He was very enthusiastic about that and told me I was just the type of young person the country needs to have a strong economy in the future. It was also exciting and motivating to be around so many high-achievers and I was able to do some networking with the Labour Party. I was proud to represent City College and I really appreciate Des Turner giving me this brilliant opportunity.'
