City College sculptors in Adur Festival

9 June 2011

Adult learners studying sculpture at City College Brighton and Hove currently have their work on show as part of the Adur Festival at St. Mary de Haura Church on East Street in Shoreham. Their work forms part of the 'Stirrings of the Spirit' exhibition.

'The students were spurred into action this year and have vigorously gouged, carved and ploughed into clay with extra large tools to spark off some vibrant compositions extending their mark-making skills', says tutor Teresa Martin 'They've had the added challenge of applying colour to fan the flames of their creative endeavours without losing the depth of form.'

'Stirrings of the Spirit' is at St. Mary de Haura Church until Sunday June 19th.
