City College’s Principal Sharon Collett says: 'This is an outstanding set of results particularly for those students who were retaking GCSEs after they hadn’t achieved the desired A*-C grade in their last year of school. We enabled 63% of these 16-18 year old students to reach this ‘gold standard’ and having achieved these essential qualifications, they’ll be in a much stronger position to reach their full potential in the future.'

In addition to these impressive results, the College's provision for 16 to 18 year olds is placed in the top third in the country for all levels for General Further Education and Tertiary Colleges and is in the top 11% for Level 2 and the top 25% for Level 3 courses.
