City College Brighton and Hove is offering a ‘buy one, get one free’ deal on ‘The Mary Portas guide to successful retailing’, an inspirational programme aimed at shop owners and managers that want to see their business succeed and flourish.
Created by Skillsmart Retail in conjunction with the retail guru and television star, the programme covers every aspect of running a retail business. The series of master classes are delivered exclusively through the National Skills Academy for Retail’s network of retail skill shops. Coming up this month at City College are the master classes ‘Creating desire’ (August 9th), ‘Buying for your customer’ (August 10th), ‘Marketing for more customers’ (August 23rd) and ‘Retail finance and business planning’ (August 24th).

'Mary’s long been fighting the independent retailers’ corner and it’s fantastic for the retail sector that she’s lent her expertise to a series of master classes designed to benefit them directly', says Donna Keenan, the Managing Director of City College’s City Business Skills department. 'In the current economic climate, I think retailers can really benefit from the sort of expert knowledge that can help their business stand out from the crowd.'
