City College’s ‘Saturday College’ is an exciting range of one day and short courses, ideal for learning or developing skills, improving a CV, making new friends or just doing something new and inspiring with the weekend as the winter draws in.
During December, there’s an eclectic assortment of Saturday College courses on offer. For Craft and Textiles enthusiasts, there are courses on how to create mosaic gifts or make your knitting more colourful. There are Christmas-themed courses on festive decorations and the history of the festive season while those who feel their make-up regime could do with a Yuletide overhaul will enjoy the ‘Wake up Your Make-up – Christmas Cracker’ course. For creative writing enthusiasts, places are also available on the ‘Writing for Pleasure and Profit’ course.

Saturday College
City College Principal Phil Frier said: 'While our Saturday College courses offer a great way to improve subject knowledge or learn a new skill, they’re also confidence boosters, providing the opportunity to meet new people and improve health and wellbeing. We work closely with our fellow providers in the city and also our community partners to ensure that the courses we’re delivering are the courses that local people are asking for.'
