Flexible Learning Centre's Enrolment Success

learndirect Sussex has awarded £500 to staff at City College Brighton and Hove's Flexible Learning Centre (FLC). The award is for the best regional performance in enrolling learners on learndirect Skills For Life courses and National Tests in Literacy and Numeracy. These enrolments result in nationally recognised qualifications for many learners. The award to FLC is part of a Sussex-wide incentive scheme by learndirect to reward learning centre staff with the best performance in recruiting learners to improve their skills and achieve their goals through learndirect courses.

Sara Reeve, Widening Participation Adviser for learndirect Sussex, says:

"It's great to be able to reward our top performing centres like the FLC for their efforts in widening learning opportunities for everyone."

Notes to Editors: The Flexible Learning Centre is a very successful part of City College, offering hundreds of learning programmes with tutor support at opening times to suit different client groups. The Flexible Learning Centre is also a learndirect Centre. The FLC enables many students to continue with their learning, whilst caring for their family or working difficult hours.
