International students celebrate diversity at City College

Students from as afar a field as Sudan, China and Saudi Arabia recently took part in 'One World Day' at City College Brighton and Hove. The event was organised by City College's International department and Students' Union to celebrate cultural diversity at the College. Activities included Japanese students teaching origami, a 'match the word to the language' competition and a demonstration of the martial art Choi Kwang Do.

Susan De Jesus, the College's International Student Welfare Adviser, says:

'The day was a great success. The international students who took part enjoyed meeting UK students and practicing their English and the UK students had the opportunity to meet people from countries they've never been to.'
