'Excellence has always been at the heart of the NCTJ, and the students and trainees receiving awards today have shown they have what it takes to shine in this competitive industry, where the need for excellence is greater than ever. They are names to be watched.'

Naomi says:

'The tutors at City College are proactive at getting students up to a standard where awards like this are possible. I had a brilliant time at the College and it passed very quickly but I feel that the expertise and experience of the tutors equipped me well for my job as a reporter. I would recommend the course to anyone looking to get the essential skills quickly but thoroughly.'

Naomi's former tutor Allan Gill says:

"Naomi possesses all the attributes which go into making a first class journalist - a charming personality, quiet determination and strong writing ability. But above all she has a quality which cannot be taught - the ability to spot great human interest stories and deliver them to a high standard of excellence."
