'My tutor taught me all the skills and he gave me a lot of encouragement and pushed me to enter the competition. It's the first time that I've been involved in a competitive event so it was a fantastic experience to win two silver awards.'

Marie's tutor, Richard Hook, says:

'When Marie's working on her cake decorations, she's got terrific patience and her attention to detail is phenomenal.'
