City College Brighton and Hove's journalism department has been celebrating the announcement by the NCTJ awarding body that it runs the best performing magazine journalism course in the country. The course had a 100% pass rate in its news-writing exam.

'It is a considerable achievement to have success rates on this course that are significantly above the national average but to have the highest success rates in the country is an outstanding achievement. This is due to the team's hard work, dedication, and care of the learners. The high expectations and high standards set by the team have achieved the amazing results on this course. We are all very proud of this special award.'
