Spark gets scalped for charity!

A 20-year-old trainee electrician at City College Brighton and Hove recently agreed to have his head shaved during a fund-raising day for Cancer Research organised by Hairdressing students. In total, the students raised £326 in just over two hours. Electrical Installation student Curtis Godden from Coldean, says:

'I just wish I could do more really. A lot of my friends are doing things like running marathons for charity so it was just a little gesture to make sure that we could raise as much money as we can for an excellent cause.'

Tutors Martin White and Melanie Dove are also raising money for the charity through their participation in the Brighton Marathon. Donations can be made on line at www.runningsponsorme.org/martinwhite5
