Taster Days' for Year 10s on offer at City College

City College Brighton and Hove is offering local Year 10 students the chance to sample life at the College. The 'Taster Days', on Monday 27th June (Pelham Street campus) and Tuesday 28th June (City College East campus), are all about providing a taste of what it is like to be a student at the College and the kind of practical, fun and interesting courses on offer.
Many of the courses Year 10 students will find at City College aren't generally found at school ? such as carpentry, digital media and hairdressing ? and the College provides fantastic opportunities to gain a qualification in something they are interested in or wish to pursue as a career. At the Taster Days, students can try out some of these areas to help them make a decision when they get to Year 11. City College facilities are often different to what students are used to in school and many of the College's departments replicate the workplace so that when students leave, they'll not only have the skills gained from their course but also have the kind of practical experience that impresses employers. During the Taster Days, students will have the opportunity to try out the College's Travel Agency, Hair Salon, sports centre and much more.
