City College Brighton and Hove and Brighton Film Productions have teamed up this summer to hold a dynamic film production workshop for young people aged between 12 and 16 called ‘Brighton Young Film Makers’. The workshop will introduce students to both practical and organisational elements of making a short film. The workshop is at City College East, Wilson Avenue, Brighton from 1st August to the 5th August, 9am to 5pm each day. Students can either just enjoy learning new skills or turn these skills into a GCSE equivalent, with additional workshops from September onwards.
Students will be given instruction in the use of: DV cameras, tripods, booms, mics and iMac editing software. Fully qualified and film industry experienced teaching staff (all fully CRB checked) will be instructing. The cost is just £125.00 for the full week (examination fees are payable if appropriate).
