Brighton Marathon

Great volunteering opportunities and an exciting partnership

For the last 2 years City College Brighton and Hove have been proud to support the Brighton Marathon, with hundreds of City College students and staff involved in making sure that the marathon runs smoothly.

Over the next few weeks and months you can revisit this page and find out what we will be doing on the day and in the run up to the Brighton Marathon.

Volunteering and Work Experience

Are you studying for a course that requires work experience? Would you like to boost your CV? City College Brighton and Hove is aiming to supply a minimum of 200 volunteers for the event.

Depending on your skills and experiences you could be helping to marshal the course, hand out medals or, vitally, refresh runners with water!

Volunteering on a huge national event like the Brighton Marathon will be really valued by employers, and if you are hoping to work at the upcoming London Olympics, it is vital that you take advantage of these sort of opportunities.

You will receive goody bags from both the Brighton Marathon organisers and City College Brighton and Hove, which will include food, clothing and the opportunity to win a selection of prizes.

Volunteering is open to both students and staff and if you are interested, please email marketing@ccb.ac.uk as soon as possible.

City College Water Station

City College will be responsible for its very own water station! This heavy responsibility will be at the vital mile 21 point, just when most runners will be hitting the dreaded "wall".

If you would like to volunteer on the water station please email marketing@ccb.ac.uk

Trophy Sponsorship - First Brightonian Male and Female

City College Brighton and Hove are proud sponsors of a special trophy which will be awarded to the first male and female with a BN postcode.
